Key Interiors · Est. Auckland
The kitchen is the one room your family uses every single day. It's where the coffee gets made, the homework gets done and everyone somehow ends up standing. A kitchen that's badly laid out doesn't just look dated — it quietly makes every day a little harder.
Key Interiors is a true design-and-build studio. We handle your kitchen renovation from the first concept sketch to the final coat of paint — design, custom cabinetry, benchtops, plumbing, electrical and installation, all under one roof. No juggling designers, joiners and trades. No surprise costs halfway through. One accountable team, one fixed price, one beautiful result.

A great kitchen isn't one decision — it's a hundred small ones, made well and made to work together.
We design around how you actually cook and gather — the work triangle, walkways wide enough for two, and an island that pulls people in rather than getting in the way.
Bespoke joinery built to fit your space exactly — soft-close everything, clever internal storage, and finishes that still look right in fifteen years.
Engineered stone, natural marble or timber — specified for how you live, with seams you'll struggle to find and edges detailed to the millimetre.
The Auckland favourite — a hard-working butler's pantry or scullery that keeps the mess out of sight and the main kitchen showroom-clean.
Premium appliances integrated seamlessly, with the plumbing and electrical planned early so nothing is an afterthought or a compromise.
Layered lighting, considered tapware and hardware, and a master-painted finish — the details most people only feel, finished in-house by our own team.
From restored villa classics to sharp, handleless contemporary — designed to suit your home, not a showroom.

Timeless shaker profiles, panelled detail and warm, considered palettes — perfectly at home in an Auckland villa or bungalow.

Clean lines, flush fronts and integrated appliances for a calm, architectural kitchen that feels effortlessly current.

Book-matched stone, feature islands and bespoke detailing — a high-end kitchen built to be the centrepiece of the home.

A complete custom kitchen — NZ-made cabinetry, stone benchtops and professional installation, designed around how you live.
Bespoke joinery, premium appliances, natural stone and a scullery — a statement kitchen built to be the heart of the home.
Auckland kitchens typically run 10–20% above the national average. Cabinetry usually accounts for 30–40% of the cost, with benchtops and appliances next. After your design phase, you get a fixed price — so the number you sign off is the number you pay.

Once you sign off your design, your build price doesn't move — we wear the difference, not you. Every kitchen is finished to our master-painter standard, and if a detail isn't right at handover, we make it right. That's the deal.
We deliberately take on only a handful of kitchens each month so yours gets our full attention — Auckland calendars book out weeks ahead.

Most Auckland kitchen renovations sit between $35,000 and $55,000 for a quality custom kitchen with NZ-made cabinetry, stone benchtops and professional installation. A simpler refresh can start from around $25,000, while high-end and luxury kitchens with premium appliances and bespoke joinery range from $90,000 upwards. After your design phase, we give you a fixed price — so you know exactly what you're investing before any work begins.
On site, most kitchen renovations take 3 to 6 weeks from demolition to final handover. Before that, design, joinery manufacture and material lead times typically add a few weeks, so it's worth planning for around 8 to 12 weeks end to end. Your dedicated project manager gives you a clear timeline before the build starts.
Most like-for-like kitchen renovations don't require consent. You'll generally only need it if you're moving plumbing or drainage, altering structural walls, or changing the building's layout. We'll tell you up front whether your project needs consent and handle the process for you if it does.
Not during the build itself — but most families set up a temporary kitchen with a fridge, microwave and kettle elsewhere in the home. We work to a tight, well-managed schedule to keep disruption as short as possible, and your project manager keeps you updated the whole way through.
Yes. Once your design and selections are locked in, we provide a transparent, fixed-price quote with a clear scope, materials and timeline before any building begins. No surprise costs halfway through.
