Key Interiors · Est. Auckland
Key Interiors designs and builds bespoke cabinetry across Auckland — walk-in wardrobes, kitchens, vanities, offices and storage, made to measure and built to last, with a fixed price after design.
Every home has awkward corners, odd ceilings and wasted gaps that flatpack can never quite solve. Bespoke joinery is designed around exactly those quirks — using every millimetre, hiding the clutter, and looking like it was part of the house from day one.
Key Interiors is a true design-and-build studio. We design, make and install your cabinetry under one roof — wardrobes, kitchens, vanities, offices, media walls, panelling and storage — to a master-finish standard. No middlemen, no compromise on materials, and a fixed price once your design is locked in.
See what we make
Anyone can hang a door. The difference is in the things you only notice years later — when it still works perfectly.
Measured and drawn for your exact room — scribed to the walls, sized to the ceiling, with no wasted gaps or filler panels.
Moisture-resistant melamine, polyurethane, timber veneer and solid timber — specified to suit the room and Auckland's humid climate.
Premium runners and hinges on everything, so drawers glide and doors close themselves — and keep doing it for decades.
Pull-outs, dividers, hanging rails, drawers and organisers planned around what you actually store — not a generic layout.
Hand-finished by our own painters to a flawless standard — colour-matched, consistent, and built to be touched every day.
Levelled, scribed and fitted so it looks built-in, not bolted-on — the seamless detail that separates joinery from furniture.
If it's built-in, we design and make it — to suit your home, not a showroom.

Walk-in robes and reach-in wardrobes with hanging, drawers and organisers tailored to your wardrobe, not a standard kit.

Bespoke kitchen and scullery cabinetry — generous storage, clever internals and finishes that still look right in fifteen years.

Home offices, vanities, media walls, bookshelves, panelling and mudroom storage — built-in joinery for every room.

Home office fit-out, Auckland. Drag the handle to reveal the transformation.

A scribed edge with no gap. A drawer that glides shut on its own. Grain that runs through a whole run of doors. Custom joinery is the quiet difference between a room that looks furnished and a room that looks finished — and it's the detail people feel before they can name it.
We visit, measure up and understand what you need to store and how you want it to look — then map an honest scope and budget.
Free · No obligationDetailed drawings, internal layouts and material selections in our paid design phase — then a clear, fixed-price proposal.
Your joinery is built by our own team to a master standard, then delivered ready to install.
Scribed, levelled and fitted on site, every drawer checked — and the keys to storage that finally fits.
Every piece is different — but here's an honest 2026 starting guide for what Auckland homeowners are actually spending.
A modular reach-in wardrobe or single built-in — a smart, tidy upgrade on flatpack, made to fit the space.
A full-height custom wardrobe, walk-in robe, vanity or office run — soft-close hardware, premium finishes, tailored internals.
Media walls, libraries, panelled rooms and multi-room fit-outs — bespoke joinery as a feature of the home.
Joinery is priced per project — size, materials and hardware are the biggest drivers, and timber or veneer costs more than melamine. After your design phase, you get a fixed price — so the number you sign off is the number you pay.
Book a free, no-obligation Joinery Roadmap. We come to your home, measure up, understand what you need to store and how you want it to look, and give you a design direction, honest scope and budget range — so you start with a plan, not a guess.
Once you sign off your design, your build price doesn't move — we wear the difference, not you. Every piece is made and finished in-house to our master standard, and if a detail isn't right at handover, we make it right. That's the deal.
We deliberately take on only a handful of projects each month so yours gets our full attention — Auckland calendars book out weeks ahead.

It depends on the piece. A modular reach-in wardrobe starts from around $2,500, a full-height custom wardrobe or walk-in robe with soft-close and premium finishes typically runs $5,000 to $15,000, and whole-room joinery like a home office, media wall or library starts from $15,000 upwards. After your design phase, we give you a fixed price — so you know exactly what you're investing before any work begins.
Flatpack is mass-produced in fixed sizes and assembled on site, so it rarely fits a space exactly. Custom joinery is designed and built specifically for your room — scribed to the walls, sized to the ceiling, and finished to match your home. It uses better materials and hardware, lasts far longer, and makes use of every millimetre.
Most joinery projects take around 3 to 6 weeks from sign-off — the bulk of that is design and in-house manufacture, with installation usually completed in a day or two. Your dedicated project manager gives you a clear timeline before work begins.
We specify materials for how the piece will be used — moisture-resistant melamine and polyurethane for hard-working and humid spaces, timber veneers and solid timber for statement joinery — all with quality soft-close hardware. These hold up best in Auckland's humid, coastal climate.
